Due to inclement weather, the Resume Review has been canceled for today

Experienced evaluators provide job seekers with guidance for attracting employers

CAPITOLA – Nov. 8, 2013 – Profile of Santa Cruz, a job search association of experienced professionals, today announced it will offer résumé reviews at no charge during the Downtown Santa Cruz Community Farmers’ Market from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20. Job hunters are invited to bring their résumés to the Profile booth for expert evaluations and guidance for making them more attractive to employers.

Advice and materials for writing and formatting effective résumés will be offered during each review session. Profile members at the booth will also provide information on membership and workshops for both unemployed and under employed county residents. The Downtown Santa Cruz Community Farmers’ Market is located at the corner of Cedar and Lincoln streets.

Profile helped 16 members find jobs in October. Both full-time and part-time positions were secured in the retail, government, industrial, education, food service, hospitality, non-profit, technology and other industries.

Profile of Santa Cruz, a chapter of Experience Unlimited, is an all-volunteer networking association for skilled professionals from diverse fields. The program offers an office where job seekers can meet with other career professionals to network, find job opportunities, and update their job search skills. Workshops include job-search strategies, résumé writing, interview techniques, communication skills, and negotiation tactics. Résumé evaluations and mock interviews are also available.
